We are advanced practice, Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) who provide perinatal and well woman services in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Midwives was founded by Naomi and Lilit, two CNMs who are passionate and dedicated to providing their patients with midwifery care that is firmly rooted in all the hallmarks of midwifery. Specifically, they recognize menarche, pregnancy, birth, and menopause as normal physiologic and developmental processes; advocate non-intervention in the absence of complications; incorporate scientific evidence into clinical practice; and empower women as partners in health care while advocating for informed choice, shared decision making, and the right to self determination.
Our midwives are the first midwifery team to be granted delivering privileges at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center which provides our clients the ability to choose the type of birth that’s right for them. Whether your ideal birth is at home or in the hospital, in a tub or with an epidural, Lilit and Naomi look forward to helping you in creating a positive birth memory.

Naomi became a nurse and a Certified Nurse-Midwife because of her first pregnancy experience with her own son's birth. Since that experience, Naomi has moved further into the field of nursing and midwifery by offering women the types of births that she was not able to receive.
Lilit knew she wanted to deliver babies when she was 9 years old. She became a labor and delivery nurse to get her toward her goal, and it taught her how to provide the 1:1 care that is crucial to helping women have positive birth outcomes. She became a Certified Nurse Midwife to fulfill her life's passion.
